Collaborate

We care about community and collaborate with nonprofits and other organizations to address the needs of food-insecure, disadvantaged, and under loved individuals and families.

Service Projects

Feed Everyone

Kashi grows organic produce in two gardens and also partners with local businesses to bring fresh food to the community. The gardens serve as a place to share regenerative practices with neighbors and friends.

Each week, Acharya Swami Chef Rudra Das prepares nourishing vegetarian meals for our elder community and for satsang dinners and special events.

Healthy Waterways

The Indian River Lagoon National Estuary Program (IRLNEP) called for restoring the Lagoon. In response, Kashi replaced its aging septic system with sewer, preventing 139 pounds of nitrogen from entering the St. Sebastian River. Excess nitrogen destroys sea grass and damages the ecosystem. Funded in part by IRLNEP, St. John’s River Water Management District, and supported by the Indian River Board of County Commissioners, the year-long project both aided Lagoon restoration and strengthened Sacred Kashi’s infrastructure.

Cultural Center

First settled in the 1880s, Gifford, FL became a precinct by 1900 and grew as a community for African-American families.

The historic Macedonia Church now houses the Gifford Historical Museum, which is expanding into a cultural center for the Indian River and Treasure Coast.

Kashi supports its heritage projects, education programs, and multicultural events.
